ASI welcomes new Associations member Australian Aluminium Council

australian-aluminium-council-logoThe Australian Aluminium Council is the peak body representing the aluminium industry in Australia.

The Council’s members include companies operating in bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium metal production, semi-fabricated aluminium production and distribution.

The Australian aluminium industry has a commitment to sustainable production, transparency and continual improvement.  We believe the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative can play an important role in communicating to customers and the public about our industry and our products. Third-party certification programs have a role to play in rewarding well managed operations and lifting standards.  We look forward to participating in ASI to ensure the rigour and balance of the program,” said Miles Prosser, Executive Director, Australian Aluminium Council.
