About Romco
Romco is an ambitious metals recycling company producing secondary materials, mainly aluminium, for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and trading partners globally.
With a sustainability focus, Romco is building a systematic, scalable model, thriving in the emerging markets of the African Continent, committed to increasing metals recycling capacity to reduce the devastating environmental impact of primary production.
Started in 2015 with just one small can baler, Romco now operates from three continents, with five furnaces, across two production facilities, utilising block-chain technology throughout the value chain, trading recycled goods to the world.
Romco Invest, Reduce, & Grow; Investing in a better future, reducing reliance on primary production, and growing recycling capacity in the heavily under-developed emerging markets.
We have an aluminium problem; Unsustainable production power consumption and carbon emissions are creating irreversible environmental consequences that affect everyone. They can’t be ignored, and we need to work collaboratively to address them.
For us at Romco, subscribing to the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) is an exciting step in that direction — joining others in the industry that are taking responsibility for making our world a cleaner, greener, more livable place.
- Raymond Onovwigun, Romco Group CEO
