Aluminium Stewardship Initiative certifies Yantai Donghai Aluminium Foil Co. Ltd. against ASI Chain of Custody Standard

Yantai Donghai Aluminium Foil Co. Ltd. has followed their recent Performance Standard Certification to become the first company in China to be certified against ASI’s Chain of Custody Standard. Yantai Donghai Aluminium Foil Co. Ltd. is a major aluminium foil roller based in Shandong province producing foil for industrial and consumer applications that include a wide range of packaging, batteries, capacitors, and cabling.

Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) today announced the first Chinese company to be successfully certified against ASI’s Chain of Custody Standard. Yantai Donghai Aluminium Foil Co.,Ltd. is part of the Shandong Nanshan Aluminium Co. Ltd, a China-based company that principally engaged in the manufacture and distribution of aluminium products and one of the top 200 companies in China.

The ASI Certification program was developed through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process and is the only comprehensive voluntary sustainability standard initiative for the aluminium value chain. The independent, third-party audit of Yantai Donghai Aluminium Foil Co. was carried out by DNV GL.
