Hydro Extruded Solutions extends ASI Performance Standard certification to 5 additional facilities

Hydro Aluminium Extruded Solutions has extended their existing ASI Performance Standard certification (Certificate #23) to include the sites in Lichtervelde (Belgium), Lichtervelde Precision Tubing (Belgium), Toulouse (France), Rackwitz (Germany), Uphusen (Germany, Nenzing (Austria) and the corporate office (Norway).

Hydro now has 20 plants certified by the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative, spanning the value-chain from bauxite mining and alumina refining, primary aluminium production and remelting, to rolled products and extruded solutions.

The ASI Certification program was developed through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process and is the only comprehensive voluntary sustainability standard initiative for the aluminium value chain.  The independent, third-party audit of the Hydro facilities was carried out by DNV GL.
