Ida Joeker Krog

Compliance and Human Rights Specialist

Ida Joeker Krog is a human rights and compliance speciality focused on the mining and minerals sector, with a special focus on regulatory risk assessment, labour conditions and environmental & social impact assessment.

Ida is currently implementing and overseeing the human rights due diligence and management program of a global mining equipment producer.  She previously worked as a research coordinator and impact assessor on an extensive human rights and corruption impact assessment or Myanmar’s mining industry.

Ida is a certified SA 8000 auditor and has considerable knowledge of labour standards monitoring, human rights impact assessment (Asia, Europe, Africa) and forced labour risk assessment and auditing.

She also has experience with the design and implementation of rights compatible grievance mechanisms, supply chain traceability, drafting social and human rights policies for companies and in providing input to government legislative reform of mining policy and regulation in Myanmar.
