Manager Biodiversity, Ramboll Environ

Peter is the Manager Biodiversity for Ramboll Environ and has worked in biodiversity management for 20 years with expertise in ecological assessment, project financing and the development and implementation of biodiversity management plans.

Peter has worked on mining projects, as well as their associated infrastructure such as ports, linear transport infrastructure and transmission lines. He has advised project proponents about biodiversity matters and acted as an Independent Environmental and Social Consultant (IESC) on behalf of financial lenders on many projects.

Peter is highly experienced in biodiversity monitoring and audits of project facilities. Peter has particular expertise in ornithology and assessing project impacts to designated areas such as National Parks, Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs) and Ramsar sites. This includes planning and implementing baseline biodiversity surveys, ecological assessments and environmental impact assessment, determination of Critical Habitats, environmental management plans (ESMPs), Biodiversity Action Plans (BAPs) and developing biodiversity offset strategies and is across national and international standards (e.g. International Finance Corporation Performance Standards IFC PS6).
