Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI): Risk Readiness Assessment Public Consultation

The Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) invites stakeholders to comment on the revised methodology of the Risk Readiness Assessment. The public consultation period is open from 15 March 2019 to 30 April 2019.

The Risk Readiness Assessment (RRA) is a voluntary self-assessment and self-reporting tool for any minerals and metals producers and processors to assess and communicate their environmental, social and governance management practices and performance. The RRA uses benchmarked industry ‘norms’ derived from a comparison of commonly used voluntary sustainability standards (the Standards Comparison) in minerals supply chains and is representative of good management practice for 31 ‘risk areas’.

ASI’s Performance Standard v2 is considered for inclusion in the Standards Comparison.
