Aluminium Stewardship Initiative certifies Greatview Aseptic Packaging operation against ASI Performance Standard
Greatview Aseptic Packaging has achieved ASI Performance Standard with a focus on Material Stewardship for its aseptic carton packaging production activities at its Germany plant, as well as the centralised material stewardship activities of the company’s main products conducted at the Head Office.

Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) today announced that Greatview Aseptic Packaging has been successfully certified against the ASI Performance Standard for responsible production, sourcing and stewardship of aluminium with a focus on material stewardship. The activities at the Halle facility in Germany primarily involve the production, flexographic printing, coating/laminating and cutting of aseptic carton packaging for liquid food products.
The ASI Certification program was developed through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process and is the only comprehensive voluntary sustainability standard initiative for the aluminium value chain. ASI Performance Standard certifications focusing on ‘material stewardship’ address issues such as product design, life cycle assessments, management of process scrap and collection and recycling of products at end-of-life.
The independent, third-party audit of the Greatview Aseptic Packaging facility was carried out by GUTcert (AFNOR Group).
