ASI certifies Gerhardi AluTechnik GmbH against Performance Standard
Gerhardi AluTechnik GmbH has achieved ASI Performance Standard V2 (2017) Certification with a focus on Material Stewardship for the production and sale of semi-finished aluminium profiles at their operation in Luedenscheid, Germany.

Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) today announced that Gerhardi AluTechnik GmbH has been certified against the Performance Standard (V2) 2017. The family-owned enterprise with 70 employees produces extrusion profiles for customers in the automotive, construction, electronics, mechanical engineering, medical, furniture and lighting sectors.
The ASI Certification program was developed through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process and is the only comprehensive voluntary sustainability standard initiative for the aluminium value chain. ASI Performance Standard certifications focusing on ‘material stewardship’ address issues such as product design, life cycle assessments, management of process scrap and collection and recycling of products at end-of-life.
The independent, third-party audit of the Gerhardi AluTechnik GmbH operation was carried out by SZI GmbH.
