ASI certifies Shandong Yuhang Special Alloy Equipment Co., Ltd. against Performance Standard V3
The facility manufactures aluminium rods, aluminium alloy industrial profiles, and aluminium alloy accessories, including aluminium re-melting/refining and casthouse processing.

Shandong Yuhang Special Alloy Equipment Co., Ltd has achieved ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022) Certification for its facility located in Zouping, China. The facility manufactures aluminium rods, aluminium alloy industrial profiles, and aluminium alloy accessories, including aluminium re-melting/refining and casthouse processing.Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) today announced that Shandong Yuhang Special Alloy Equipment Co., Ltd. has been certified against the ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022). The facility has an annual production capacity of 150,000 tonnes of aluminium alloy industrial profiles, 250,000 tonnes of ingots and 10,000 tonnes of aluminium alloy deep-processed products.
The ASI Certification program was developed through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process and is the only comprehensive voluntary sustainability standard initiative for the aluminium value chain. The ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022) defines 11 principles and 62 criteria under three sustainability pillars – Environment, Social, and Governance – with the aim to address pressing sustainability issues in the aluminium value chain.
The independent, third-party audit of the Shandong Yuhang Special Alloy Equipment Co., Ltd. facility was carried out by Bureau Veritas Certification. A full listing of audit findings outlining evidence of conformances and minor non-conformances is available from page 5 of the summary audit report, linked below. Nine minor non-conformances are noted under Criteria 1.1 Legal Compliance, 2.1a-f Environmental, Social, and Governance Policy, 2.4a-e Responsible Sourcing, 3.1a-b Sustainability Reporting, 4.1a Environmental Life Cycle Assessment, 5.1a-b Disclosure of GHG Emissions and Energy Use, 5.3a-e GHG Emissions Reduction Plans, 9.1a-d Human Rights Due Diligence and 11.2 Employee engagement on Health and Safety. During the Certification Period, Shandong Yuhang Special Alloy Equipment Co., Ltd. will be implementing a corrective action plan, which will be verified in follow-up audits.
