Eccomelt Canada Div. of House of Metals Co. Ltd. is the market leader in the production of eccomelt356.2, a clean, economical and sustainable substitute for A356.2/AlSi7Mg0.3 ingots and T-bars, and basis for Al-Si-Mg type foundry alloys as well as economic Si master alloy for 6000 series billet casthouses.

Eccomelt356.2 has one of the lowest carbon footprints of any comparable aluminium alloys and allows foundries and casthouses to increase furnace efficiency – and minimize the carbon footprint of their castings. Eccomelt products are used in all high-quality castings requiring A356.2 such as wheels, chassis parts and structural die castings of Al-Si type alloys. eccomelt356.2 is used in safety critical components, such as suspension parts and knuckles, brake components, and structural castings.

eccomelt356.2, a direct substitute for A356.2 ingot, sow, or T-bar, was developed in response to a growing global need for new sustainable and cost effective ways to process metals. After calculating our exact carbon footprint we now want to increase and expand our stewardship activities by becoming an ASI member and achieving certification.
