About Aluminium Deutschland (AD)

The announced renaming of our association has now been completed. With the entry in the register of associations, the Gesamtverband der Aluminiumindustrie (GDA) has officially received its new name: Aluminium Deutschland (AD). The association is thus taking account of the changed political and social conditions. The focus is now on the material. Aluminum is a central building block on the way to a climate-neutral society. The name change expresses the association’s new public orientation: The aluminum industry wants to increase its presence in the public eye, intensify the dialogue with the various stakeholders from society, business and politics, and further strengthen the solidarity with customers and politics. This is what the name Aluminium Deutschland stands for.
