About IDNTIC (Initiative for the Development of New Technologies and Communication in Guinea)

The objective of IDNTIC (Initiative for the Development of New Technologies and Communication in Guinea) is to assist impacted communities in the Kindia area by encouraging them to form associations to develop in other fields instead of solely focusing on the mining companies operating in Kindia. Since its establishment in 2019, the NGO IDNTIC has been working in the mining areas of Kindia in various localities, where it has helped three associations comprising 64 to 103 women and men. Additionally, over 8 young people have established their own businesses and are working with more than 6 communities to try to improve their living conditions. The organization aims to expand its efforts so that more communities can benefit and realize that they can take control of their own futures, shifting their focus away from mining companies. IDNTIC is involved in awareness-raising activities and organizes competitions to convey its messages.

The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) is a global non-profit organization focused on standardization and certification. It brings together producers, users, and stakeholders across the aluminum value chain.

The Indigenous People Advisory Forum (IPAF) is a platform for learning, support, and opportunities. It aims to ensure that the voices and desires of indigenous communities in bauxite regions are heard and respected.
