Aluminium Stewardship Initiative certifies Lizhong Sitong Light Alloys Group Co., Ltd. against ASI Performance Standard
The plant produces aluminium alloy sheet, strip, foil, tube, bar/billet, profile, wire, and castings destined for transportation, packaging, electronic, aerospace and other industry sectors.

Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) today announced that Lizhong Sitong Light Alloys Group Co., Ltd. has been successfully certified against the ASI Performance Standard for responsible production, sourcing and stewardship of aluminium. The company is one of the largest intermediate alloy and aluminium alloy wheel manufacturers in China, specialising in the research, development, design, manufacture and sales of new intermediate alloy materials and aluminium alloy wheel lightweight, among other products.
The ASI Certification program was developed through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process and is the only comprehensive voluntary sustainability standard initiative for the aluminium value chain. The ASI Performance Standard defines environmental, social and governance principles and criteria, with the aim to address sustainability issues in the aluminium value chain. It sets out 59 criteria under the three sustainability pillars of Governance, Environment and Social, which address key issues such as biodiversity, Indigenous Peoples rights, and greenhouse gas emissions.
The independent, third-party audit of the Lizhong Sitong Light Alloys Group Co., Ltd. plant was carried out by TÜV Rheinland Cert GmbH.
