Aluminium Stewardship Initiative certifies Yunnan Haoxin Aluminum Foil Co., Ltd. facility against ASI Performance Standard
The facility has an annual capacity to produce 200,000 tonnes of aluminium sheet and foil. A 35,000 tonne expansion project, which is not yet operational, is also included in the certification.

Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) today announced that Yunnan Haoxin Aluminum Foil Co., Ltd. has been successfully certified against the ASI Performance Standard for responsible production, sourcing and stewardship of aluminium. The facility produces aluminium foil in various gauges, destined for several downstream uses in the electronics, packaging, pharmaceutical, HVAC and other sectors.
The ASI Certification program was developed through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process and is the only comprehensive voluntary sustainability standard initiative for the aluminium value chain. The ASI Performance Standard defines environmental, social and governance principles and criteria, with the aim to address sustainability issues in the aluminium value chain. It sets out 59 criteria under the three sustainability pillars of Governance, Environment and Social, which address key issues such as biodiversity, Indigenous Peoples rights, and greenhouse gas emissions.
The independent, third-party audit of the Yunnan Haoxin Aluminum Foil Co., Ltd. plant was carried out by TÜV Rheinland Cert GmbH.
