ASI certifies Dicastal UACJ Bolv Automotive Components Co., Ltd Against Performance Standard V3

Dicastal UACJ Bolv Automotive Components Co., Ltd has earned ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022) Certification for the manufacturing of automotive components their facility located in Hebei Province, China. The facility’s production processes include sawing, machining, heat treatment, welding and assembly. The Certification also covers associated administrative functions.Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) today announced that Dicastal UACJ Bolv Automotive Components Co., Ltd has been certified against the ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022). The entity specialises in the research, development, processing, manufacturing, and sales of aluminium automotive components, including battery boxes, anti-collision beams, energy absorption boxes, and thermal management systems. It has an annual production capacity of one million anti-collision beams, 25,000 sets of battery boxes, and 3,000 tonnes of other automotive components.
The ASI Certification program was developed through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process and is the only comprehensive voluntary sustainability standard initiative for the aluminium value chain. The ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022) was launched in May 2022 following a multi-year revision process. It defines 11 principles and 62 criteria under three sustainability pillars – Environment, Social, and Governance – with the aim to address pressing sustainability issues in the aluminium value chain, such as biodiversity, Indigenous Peoples’ rights, circularity, and greenhouse gas emissions.
The independent, third-party audit of Dicastal UACJ Bolv Automotive Components Co., Ltd was carried out by DNV Business Assurance Services UK Ltd.. A full listing of audit findings outlining evidence of conformances and minor non-conformances is available from page 5 of the summary audit report, linked below. Five minor non-conformances are noted under Criteria 1.1 Legal Compliance, 4.1b-c Environmental Life Cycle Assessment – Disclosure, 9.8b Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas – Identify and assess risks, 9.8e Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas – Report annually and 11.1a Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Management System. During the Certification Period, Dicastal UACJ Bolv Automotive Components Co., Ltd will be implementing a corrective action plan, which will be verified in follow-up audits.
