ASI certifies Fujian Nanping Aluminum Co., LTD. against Chain of Custody Standard V2

Fujian Nanping Aluminum Co., LTD. has achieved ASI Chain of Custody (CoC) Standard V2 (2022) Certification at its facility in the Yanping District, Nanping City, Fujian Province, China. The Certification includes activities from its Foundry branch, Extrusion division and Production department, with the three branches producing aluminium alloy round ingots, aluminium alloy profiles for construction and industrial aluminium alloy profiles respectively.Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) today announced that Fujian Nanping Aluminum Co., LTD. has been successfully certified against the ASI CoC Standard V2 (2022). The company achieved Performance Standard Certification for the same facilities in October 2023. Their products service a number of sectors including construction, communications, industrial equipment, cold chain logistics, automotive and aerospace. The facility has an annual production output of 200,000 tonnes.
The ASI CoC Standard V2 sets out requirements for the creation of a Chain of Custody for material that is produced and processed through the value chain into diverse downstream sectors. The implementation of ASI’s CoC Standard links verified practices at successive steps of the supply chain – certified under the ASI Performance Standard – to the materials produced by ASI Certified Entities. The CoC Standard also confirms that appropriate policies and due diligence processes are in place to identify and address critical issues, such as corruption, human rights abuses, materials originating from conflict-affected and high-risk areas in the supply chain and support responsible sourcing.
The independent, third-party audit of the Fujian Nanping Aluminum Co., LTD. facility was carried out by DNV Business Assurance Services UK Ltd. A full listing of audit findings outlining evidence of conformances and minor non-conformance is available from page 5 of the summary audit report, linked below. Two minor non-conformances were noted under Criteria 1.5 Communications and Training and 9.5 Verification of Information. Fujian Nanping Aluminum Co., LTD. will be implementing a corrective action plan, the implementation of which will be verified in follow-up audits.
