ASI certifies Huanghe Xinye Co., Ltd. against Performance Standard V3
The facility produces liquid aluminium and aluminium ingots and has an annual aluminium production capacity of 600,000 tonnes.

Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) today announced that Huanghe Xinye Co., Ltd. has been certified against the ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022). The facility has an annual aluminium production capacity of 600,000 tonnes.
The ASI Certification program was developed through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process and is the only comprehensive voluntary sustainability standard initiative for the aluminium value chain. The ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022) was launched in May 2022 following a multi-year revision process. It defines 11 principles and 62 criteria under three sustainability pillars – Environment, Social, and Governance – with the aim to address pressing sustainability issues in the aluminium value chain, such as biodiversity, Indigenous Peoples’ rights, circularity, and greenhouse gas emissions.
The independent, third-party audit of Huanghe Xinye Co., Ltd. was carried out by China Quality Mark Certification Group. Sixteen minor non-conformances are noted under Criteria 1.3a-e Code of Conduct, 2.4a-e Responsible Sourcing, 3.1a-b Sustainability Reporting, 3.3a-c Payments to Governments, 4.1a Environmental Life Cycle Assessment, 4.1b-c Environmental Life Cycle Assessment – Disclosure, 5.1a-b Disclosure of GHG Emissions and Energy Use, 5.3a-e GHG Emissions Reduction Plans, 6.1a-f Emissions to Air, 6.2a-g Discharges to Water, 6.3a-g Assessment and Management of Spills and Leakages, 7.1a-b Water Assessment and Disclosure, 9.8e Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas – Report Annually, 9.9 Security practice, 11.1b-e Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Management System – Reviews and disclosure and 11.1b-e Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Management System – Reviews and disclosure. During the Certification Period, Huanghe Xinye Co., Ltd. will be implementing a corrective action plan, which will be verified in follow-up audits.
