ASI certifies Yunnan Yongshun Aluminium Co., Ltd. against ASI Chain of Custody Standard
Yunnan Yongshun Aluminium Co., Ltd. has achieved ASI Chain of Custody Standard certification for its smelting, casting and sawing activities for the manufacture of aluminium alloy flat ingots.

Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) today announced that Yunnan Yongshun Aluminium Co., Ltd. has been successfully certified against the ASI Chain of Custody for the manufacture of aluminium alloy flat ingots. The plant is a joint venture between ASI Members Yunnan YunLv Yongxin Aluminium Co., Ltd. of Yunnan Aluminium Group, and Xiamen Xiashun Aluminium Foil Co., Ltd. The annual production capacity at the facility is 150,000 tonnes of mid-to-high-end aluminium alloy flat ingot.
The ASI Certification program was developed through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process and is the only comprehensive voluntary sustainability standard initiative for the aluminium value chain. The ASI CoC Standard sets out requirements for the creation of a Chain of Custody for material that is produced and processed through the value chain into diverse downstream sectors. The implementation of ASI’s CoC Standard links verified practices at successive steps of the supply chain – certified under the ASI Performance Standard – to the products produced by ASI Certified Entities.
The independent, third-party audit of the Yunnan Yongshun Aluminium Co., Ltd. plant was carried out by SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services.
