ASI extends public consultation period on draft revised standards
The consultation period has now been extended to 30 April 2026. We encourage all stakeholders to get informed on the proposed updates and send feedback to shape the next version of the ASI Standards.
17 February 2026
On 17 February 2026, ASI opened the first round of public consultation on the draft revised Performance Standard and Chain of Custody Standard. The consultation drafts are available to download from the Standards Revision 1st Consultation hub including full details of how to provide your input. Due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and the impact this continues to have on ASI Members and stakeholders, the consultation period has been extended until 30 April 2026
What are we consulting on and why?
As a code compliant member of ISEAL, ASI commits to review its standards at least every five years. As part of this commitment, in March 2025 ASI launched a full revision of the Performance Standard and Chain of Custody Standard. Since then, we have been developing revised standards, with the ASI Standards Committee, Working Groups and our diverse set of stakeholders. On 17 February 2026, the draft standards were published and members of the public are invited to feed in their views. All feedback will be considered and discussed with the Standards Committee and Working Groups. We anticipate holding a second round of public consultation in early 2027, with a final release expected in late 2027.
Overarching information about the ASI Standards and the revision process can be found on the ASI Standards Revision Hub.
