Mr. Ramu Kumar Singh

Ramu is an expert consultant and auditor, with over 15 years of experience specializing in ESG consulting, climate change, and sustainability. He spearheads comprehensive ESG projects across industries and supports companies to develop best-practice ESG strategy. As a qualified auditor, he has experience conducting sustainability audits for clients across many sectors such as heavy industry and power. Ramu’s careers spans many areas, such as a Senior Engineer at Hindalco Industries leading energy management programs to reduce consumption, as well as Deputy Head of Department for the Bureau of Indian Standards, in which he led and developed the revision of national standards to align with UNSDG goals and regulations. He has experience with Copper Mark Self-Assessment and, specifically, he leads the work Social Management, Human Rights, Indigenous Peoples and FPIC topics. These diverse positions have bestowed him a wealth of knowledge, gained from multiple unique perspectives. Ramu holds multiple degrees, including MBAs in Marketing Management, International Business and Supply Chain Management, alongside Postgraduate Diplomas in Industrial Safety, Environmental Law and Disaster Management.
