Mozal SA upgrades Performance Standard V2 Provisional status to Full certification following surveillance audit
The company’s surveillance audit in March 2023 resulted in the achievement of Full Certification, with a certification period of three years, from 30 May 2023 – 29 May 2026.

In August, 2022, Mozal SA achieved ASI Performance Standard V2 (2017) Certification with Provisional status at its Maputo smelting operation and related port facilities. At the time, it was not only the first ASI Certification in the country of Mozambique, but also the first certification of an ASI Production and Transformation Member in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The one-year Provisional Certification required Mozal SA to complete the surveillance audit process by August 2023. The company’s surveillance audit in March 2023 resulted in the achievement of Full Certification, with a certification period of three years, from 30 May 2023 – 29 May 2026.
