ASI was delighted to participate in the first Japan Sustainability Forum, hosted by Rio Tinto Aluminium in Tokyo on December 9, and attended by more than 130 participants from a wide range of Japanese companies. Speakers from the Japan Ministry of Environment, Rio Tinto, ASI, Novelis, DSW Automotive, Tetra Pak and Nespresso discussed the importance of sustainability for the entire aluminium value chain, the value of collaboration and partnership, and the growing role and uptake of ASI. New ASI members, the Japan Aluminium Association and Marubeni, were welcomed and ASI is looking forward to continuing its outreach and engagement in Japan in the coming months and years.
