Respond to the OECD / IEA Survey on traceability in critical mineral supply chains
The OECD Centre for Responsible Business Conduct & International Energy Agency (IEA) Critical Minerals Team are conducting a survey this month – and ASI members are invited to share their thoughts for the aluminium value chain.
9 October 2025
This survey seeks insights from industry actors on how traceability is currently being deployed, including its prevalence, the barriers companies face, and the goals they aim to achieve through traceability. It is a follow up to the OECD/IEA 2025 joint report on The Role of Traceability in Critical Mineral Supply Chains.
Results from the survey will aim to provide novel data on the topic that is otherwise unavailable elsewhere. The survey will close on 10 November, 2025.

Responses to the survey are confidential and respondents may choose to remain anonymous. The OECD and the IEA do not intend to publish individual answers or disclose participation. Survey results will be aggregated and analysed, and any public reporting will not identify individual companies.
