About Groupement Lanyi Fan
The Lanyi Fan Group specializes in the transformation of fresh fish into dried fish to provide women with a source of income. The NGO LANYI FAN was created in 2021 and operates in the bauxite zone of Boke/Kamsar, where it trains rural women in the transformation of fresh fish into dried fish, contributing to food security. The NGO has trained over 70 women in the techniques of transforming fresh fish into dried fish and has enabled them to have sources of income. Lanyi Fan works with youth and women in the Boke region impacted by bauxite mining and bauxite export facilities and including the local communities of Kamsar and Daprass. https://tinyurl.com/y648ssxn
The Indigenous Peoples Advisory Forum (IPAF) is a platform for exchange, learning, support, and opportunities aimed at ensuring that the voices and wishes of indigenous communities in bauxite mining regions and other sectors of the aluminium value chain are effectively taken into account.
The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) is a global non-profit organization for standardization and certification that brings together producers, users, and stakeholders in the aluminium value chain.
