About Independent Extrusions Ltd
INEX exists to enable sustainable futures through reliable aluminium supply, trusted partnerships and meaningful employment.
Established in 1997, INEX has grown into the leading aluminium extruder in New Zealand. Our two-press operation ensures continuity of supply, while our highly skilled team and advanced technology keep us at the ‘cutting edge’. We consistently deliver high-quality products, exceptional service, and technical expertise that help our customers gain a competitive edge.
We are proud of our focus on sustainability. For us, sustainability is about more than the words we say, the commitments we make, and the goals we set. It’s about action.
We recycle 100% of our aluminium scrap, with the majority sent directly to the New Zealand Aluminium Smelter at Tiwai Point. We’re committed to responsible sourcing, ethical governance, and transparent reporting. 100% of our electricity use is offset with renewable energy sources and we’re taking decisive steps to further reduce our emissions and enhance recycling across our operations.
As the first extruder in New Zealand to join the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative, INEX is a true market-leader. We promote sustainable business practices in our sector by promoting high operational efficiencies, careful energy consumption and recycling 100% of aluminium scrap.
