Aluminium Stewardship Initiative certifies Yantai Donghai Aluminium Foil Co. Ltd. against ASI Performance Standard
Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) today announced the first Chinese company to be successfully certified against ASI’s standards for responsible production, sourcing and stewardship of aluminium. Yantai Donghai Aluminium Foil Co.,Ltd. is part of the Shandong Nanshan Aluminium Co. Ltd, a China-based company that principally engaged in the manufacture and distribution of aluminium products and one of the top 200 companies in China.
The ASI Certification program was developed through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process and is the only comprehensive voluntary sustainability standard initiative for the aluminium value chain. The independent, third-party audit of Yantai Donghai Aluminium Foil Co. was carried out by DNV GL.
