ASI certifies ALUMINERA EXTRUSION S.A. against Performance Standard
The company produces profiles for a wide range of industries including building and construction, automotive and railway. The facility has an estimated production capacity of over 12,000 tonnes per year.

ALUMINERA EXTRUSION S.A. has achieved ASI Performance Standard V2 (2017) Certification for its extrusion facility located in Barcelona, Spain. The company produces profiles for a wide range of industries including building and construction, automotive and railway. The facility has an estimated production capacity of over 12,000 tonnes per year.Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) today announced that ALUMINERA EXTRUSION S.A. has been certified against the ASI Performance Standard for the extrusion of aluminium profiles at its facility in Barcelona, Spain. The plant integrates a die warehouse with capacity for over 10,000 references.
The ASI Certification program was developed through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process and is the only comprehensive voluntary sustainability standard initiative for the aluminium value chain. The ASI Performance Standard V2 (2017) defines environmental, social and governance principles and criteria, with the aim to address sustainability issues in the aluminium value chain. It sets out 59 criteria under the three sustainability pillars of Environment, Social, and Governance, which address key issues such as biodiversity, Indigenous Peoples rights, and greenhouse gas emissions.
The independent, third-party audit of the ALUMINERA EXTRUSION S.A. operation was carried out by DNV Business Assurance Services UK Ltd. The audit took place prior to May 31, 2023, thus enabling a Performance Standard V2 certification.
