Ningbo Asiaway Automotive Components Co., Ltd. has achieved ASI Performance Standard V2 (2017) Certification for the production of Aluminium Die Casting Parts at its production plant in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, China.

Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) today announced that Ningbo Asiaway Automotive Components Co., Ltd. located in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, China. The company produces lightweight parts for body and chassis, battery packs, and automotive motors and electronic controls related to new energy (electric/hybrid) vehicles. The main processes include melting, die casting, trimming, deburring, machining, cleaning, packaging, and full inspection.

The ASI Certification program was developed through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process and is the only comprehensive voluntary sustainability standard initiative for the aluminium value chain. The ASI Performance Standard V2 (2017) defines environmental, social and governance principles and criteria, with the aim to address sustainability issues in the aluminium value chain. It sets out 59 criteria under the three sustainability pillars of Environment, Social, and Governance, which address key issues such as biodiversity, labour rights, Indigenous Peoples rights, and greenhouse gas emissions.

The independent, third-party audit of Ningbo Asiaway Automotive Components Co., Ltd. was carried out by Shanghai Kylin Certification Service Co., Ltd.
