Purpose:

To develop rich, interactive data visualisations, information tools and graphics to support ASI’s team, diverse members and stakeholders in progressing ASI’s organisational and broader sustainable development goals.

Overview:

This is a newly created specialist role to gather, analyse, visualise, navigate and communicate ASI-relevant data and support stakeholder interaction internationally.  You will use your technical and design skills to create user-centred visualisations for a wide range of audiences, including the ASI Secretariat, the ASI Board and Committees, ASI member companies and organisations, and broader stakeholders.  You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a dynamic team and great colleagues, bringing your unique skills to conceptualise, design and realise visual solutions across ASI’s work programs in standards, impacts and assurance in the global aluminium value chain. Our work, and the corresponding data sets, relate to a wide range of supply chain sustainability topics.

We are seeking a professional with strong data generation, analysis and visualisation experience, ideally with some exposure or interest in the metals or manufacturing sectors, and a desire to make a difference on global sustainability issues.  You will have technical data gathering and analytical skills and experience in implementing a range of data visualisation methods and frameworks, understand principles of effective visual display of information, and bring a graphic design/interaction design approach to your work.

Location:

Home office, preferably based in Germany.  All current members of the ASI Secretariat work from a home office in various countries (Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Netherlands, UK), collaborating as a virtual team with periodic in-person meetings.
