Council for Aluminium in Building joins ASI

CAB-100pxIntroducing the Council for Aluminium in Building (CAB)

ASI is delighted to announce that the Council for Aluminium in Building has become ASI’s first Association member.

The Council for Aluminium in Building (CAB) is the largest UK aluminium-in-building trade association, with well over 100 members across the supply chain. Throughout its 21 year history CAB has continued to expand its services to members.  In addition to technical information and guidance on regulations, standards and best practices, CAB runs an extensive events programme and is proactive in a number of aluminium and sustainability initiatives in the UK and internationally.

“Responsible sourcing is a hot topic, with increasing numbers of main contractors and clients asking about the sustainability credentials of our members’ products, which are usually complex assemblies of many different materials, of course including major aluminium components. We see ASI as an important part of the solution and are delighted to join as Associate members. We look forward to ensuring that the ASI Standards can be implemented effectively in our sector and that they are fully recognised throughout the construction value chain. Longer term, we see the ASI Standards as important business improvement tools for our members”, said Justin Ratcliffe, Chief Executive.
