Bangoura is a geologist engineer and economist with over 40 years of experience in the Guinean mining sector. He has held several positions in project management and in strategic and prospective analyses for the private sector and the Ministry of Mines and Geology, and was counsellor in charge of mines for the President of the Guinean Republic for eight years. He has participated for the last 20 years in the formulation of policies and strategies for the development of the mining sector both in Guinea and internationally, and currently works as a consultant in Guinea. His focus areas and skills include governance and anti-corruption, risk assessment, management systems, sustainability reporting, water management, waste management, rehabilitation and mining practices, social management, Indigenous Peoples, and occupational health and safety.
