Welcome to Jupiter Aluminum, ASI’s newest Production & Transformation member

ASI is pleased to welcome Jupiter Aluminum as a new Production and Transformation member, bringing the total number of members to 52.

Jupiter Aluminum is a secondary aluminum producer headquartered in Illinois in the United States. The company operates three plants in the US. The Hammond, Indiana operations produce high quality aluminum coils with an aluminum scrap content that exceeds 95%. The coil coating operations based in Indiana and West Virginia coat the aluminum coils for various applications  for  the building and construction, automotive, agricultural and governmental markets.

Responsible sourcing and production has always been at the heart of Jupiter Aluminum. Joining the Aluminum Stewardship Initiative is the natural extension of what the company and our employees stand for. We believe that responsibility goes along with accountability and that conducting business requires a full compliance with standards that contribute to developing a more sustainable society.
Jupiter Aluminum’s coil production utilizes one of the highest recycled scrap content rates in the industry,  with over 95% of raw material coming from scrap aluminum. Our melting furnaces are fired by unique and patented high temperature oxy-fuel burner technology. With this technology we are able to support and enhance responsible production by reducing natural gas consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 70%, making our company an extremely clean aluminum producer.
We are excited to join the ASI and look forward to our contributions for the responsible sourcing and production of aluminum to protect the environment and provide for a more sustainable society.
– Paul-Henri Chevalier, President, Jupiter Aluminum
