The International Trade Centre (ITC) is an agency of the United Nations. Its Standards Map provides free, accessible, comprehensive, verified and transparent information on over 300 standards for environmental protection, worker and labour rights, economic development, quality and food safety, as well as business ethics.
ASI’s Standards were first included in the ITC Standards Map in December 2020. Following the launch of the revised ASI Performance and Chain of Custody Standards in May 2022, ASI and ITC went through a comprehensive process to review and update ASI information in the Standards Map. This process was finalised in December 2022.
Companies, governments, civil society, researchers and other stakeholders can use the tool to find trusted and neutral information about voluntary sustainability standards, codes of conduct, audit protocols, reporting frameworks and company programs on sustainability. It enables users to compare up to 4 standards side by side across 1650+ criteria, make informed decisions regarding production trends among standards, and assess standard compliance process and business for sustainability readiness.
The ITC Knowledge Base provides more information on how to identify, review or compare relevant standards in the Standards Map, how to do a self-assessment and understand how data is collected and reviewed.
