Standards Revision Digest #4 (March 2026)
The fourth edition of ASI’s Standards Revision Digest gives an update on the consultation on the draft revised standards and provides links to recent webinars covering thematic areas of the standards.
27 March 2026
On 17 February 2026, nearly a year into the Standards Revision process, we opened a first round of public consultation on the draft revised standards. We are consulting on the drafts of the Performance Standard V4 and Chain of Custody Standard V3. The consultation drafts have been developed with significant input from multi-stakeholder Working Groups, technical experts, and the Indigenous Peoples Advisory Forum (IPAF), under oversight of the ASI Standards Committee. The documents are available in multiple languages and can be downloaded from the ASI Consultation Hub.
To give an overview of the Standards Revision and to highlight specific topics in the revised standards, we have held several webinars. If you missed these, you can catch up with recordings here:
- Launch webinar: English | Français
- Launch webinar: Chinese+English
- Spotlight webinar: Circularity
- Spotlight webinar: Responsible Sourcing and CoC
- Spotlight webinar: Climate
The consultation is open until 20 April 2026. All stakeholders are encouraged to review the consultation drafts and provide feedback to shape their evolution. All the information you need to provide feedback can be found on the ASI Consultation Hub.
Next steps
Once the consultation closes, we will be considering and analysing the feedback together with the ASI Standards Committee. We also anticipate re-convening the ASI thematic Working Groups to discuss and consider the outcomes of the consultation with a broad range of stakeholders.
