ASI has achieved another significant milestone by welcoming its 300th member, Wyda South Africa, into the Industrial User membership class. This achievement comes after reaching the 200 member milestone in November 2021, marking a remarkable growth in ASI Membership.

ASI was established as a not-for-profit entity on June 25, 2015, with the purpose of developing and launching the ASI certification program. At its inception, ASI had a total of 13 members. Over the span of eight years, the organisation has experienced tremendous growth, especially since the introduction of the first version of ASI Standards in December 2017.

The dedication and engagement of all ASI Members in pursuing ASI’s mission cannot be overstated. Their commitment to fostering responsible production, sourcing, and stewardship of aluminum has been instrumental in ASI’s journey. By collaborating closely with our expanding membership, we are working towards achieving our vision of maximising the contribution of aluminium to a sustainable society.
