Summary of Data and Research activities in 2022 and 2023

ASI’s Data and Research (D&R) workstream is cross-cutting across the organisation, and aims to monitor, evaluate and learn (MEL) from both our interventions as a multi-stakeholder initiative, and the broader context in which we operate.

Objectives of D&R activities include:

  1. Monitor progress and performance of ASI workstreams
  2. Evaluate specific activities and/or outcomes
  3. Address learning questions about priority topics
  4. Continue to improve the effectiveness of ASI as a multi-stakeholder initiative
  5. Publish accessible information for stakeholders on D&R activities to:
  6. share how these inform improvements in ASI’s workstreams and/or
  7. inform stakeholder practices, capacity and decision-making.

The current scope of D&R activities covers ASI Members, Performance Standard and Chain of Custody Certified Entities, the Indigenous Peoples Advisory Forum (IPAF), Beyond Certification projects, as well as partnerships- and governance-related activities, from the inception of ASI to the present.

The content below includes all D&R activities undertaken in 2022 and 2023.  Click through for more details on each project.
